Rev. Linda Joy Lewis M.A.Ed.: Rev. Linda Joy Lewis M.A.Ed committed to a total vegan diet in 1998, after being a vegetarian and near-vegan since 1968. She is an active volunteer with local vegan events in and near Gainesville, Florida, where she has lived for twenty years. These events have included educational lectures, food preparation demos such as seitan and kombucha-making workshops, and offering free samples of her food and recipes at local food stores. Linda earned a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of Florida, in 1994, and was ordained an interfaith ADL minister in 2009. Much of her ministry is focused on furthering awareness of “ahimsa”, or compassion for all life, including our animal friends. In the 1970's, she co-operated a vegetarian boarding house and was an active member of the Honolulu food co-op. In the 1990’s, she served as Hospitality Coordinator for the World Harmony Project, a vegetarian music retreat in Gainesville, Florida. Linda's motto is: “Peace, Love and Tofu”!
